“Bianca, I have been trying to get in shape for years now. I get spurts of healthy eating and exercising, but nothing sticks” There are three main issues here… 1️⃣ You were too restrictive. Did you 100% cut out pasta, bacon, cookies and alcohol? No wonder it didn’t stick - going your whole life without these things is highly unlikely. 2️⃣ You did too much too soon. Did you go from nothing to working out 5 days a week? Not only were you probably mad sore, but you probably felt tired and overwhelmed. The human body is meant for gradual changes, not these stark overnight make-overs. 3️⃣ You lack accountability. Whatever the reason may be, you still resorted back to old habits. Perhaps the commitment was lacking or you repeatedly rationalize excuses… the bottom line is, the accountability was not there. These “failures” can be discouraging. So much so, that you may never try again & just accept the situation! But I say this 👇🏻 Every failed attempt at lifestyle improvement means you are one step closer to finding what works.
